Our Priority
We are committed to maintaining high environmental standards throughout the redevelopment. We
plan on paying close attention to issues including public transportation access, air quality and water conservation.
Specifically, we are interested in moving forward with sustainable design strategies that emphasize recycling,
conservation, energy efficiency and the use of quality, durable products.
We anticipate Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza’s energy efficient components and water conservation measures will adhere
to LEED Silver standards. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) provides a nationally-accepted benchmark
for the design, construction and operation of green buildings.
Our environmental measures include:
- Installing energy-efficient lighting and cooling systems
- Introducing solar energy technologies
- Installing low-flow toilets, faucets and clothes washers
- Landscaping with native or drought-resistant plants
